Head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Serhii Kuzan, took part in GLOBSEC in Bratislava (Slovakia) — an international strategic conference in Central and Eastern Europe that ranks among the world’s top five global security conferences. The event brought together policymakers and experts from more than 65 countries.
The key topics discussed at this year’s forum were the formation of a new European security architecture and sustained support for Ukraine amid the ongoing Russia–Ukraine war.
By raising the issue of a new security system in Europe, the international community has increasingly begun to recognize the danger of Russian influence operations, which are gaining renewed momentum and destabilizing Western states.

By employing hybrid warfare methods, the Kremlin is expanding its network of influence across Europe, promoting pro-Russian narratives and its own interests within Western political systems, destabilizing the internal political order of these countries,” — Serhii Kuzan emphasized.

Russia’s primary efforts are aimed at destabilizing the internal political situation in partner countries and influencing Western allies in order to halt their support for Ukraine, even if only temporarily.
Background: In June 2022, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the forum online, urging the international community to focus on supporting Ukraine. Throughout its history, GLOBSEC has hosted speakers such as Pope Francis, David Cameron, Madeleine Albright, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Ursula von der Leyen, Michael Chertoff, John McCain, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and many others.
