Serhii Kuzan

Chairman of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Centre (USCC) and a military and political analyst specialising in national security, defence policy, and russian strategy. He has been actively involved in shaping Ukraine’s security and defence architecture since 2014.

He has extensive experience advising Ukraine’s senior security institutions, including serving as an adviser to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine in 2022–2023 and to the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine. He played a key role in the development and promotion of Ukraine’s Law on National Resistance, which laid the foundation for the country’s territorial defence and civilian resistance system ahead of russia’s full-scale invasion.

Following the establishment of the Territorial Defence Forces in 2022, he advised the TDF Command and led the development of strategic communications, contributing to public mobilisation and institutional development during the critical early phase of the war.

Since 2014, he has been actively engaged in building partnerships with policymakers, expert communities, and the Ukrainian diaspora across North America, Europe, and Australia. He regularly briefs Western governments, parliamentarians, and defence officials on the military situation in Ukraine, russian strategy, and broader security implications for Europe and NATO.

He is a frequent commentator and columnist on the russian-Ukrainian war, national resistance, and geopolitical developments, with contributions featured in leading international media.
