Oksana Kuzan

Co-Founder of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Centre (USCC) and Head of its Analytical Department. She is a russia-focused analyst specialising in the internal political, social, and military dynamics of the russian federation.

For over a decade, she has studied the evolution of russian state power, including elite competition, decision-making processes, societal attitudes toward war, and the structural weaknesses of russia’s political and economic system. Her work places particular emphasis on internal developments within russian society, public opinion under authoritarian rule, and the sustainability of the kremlin’s mobilisation and repression mechanisms.

Since 2021, she has been preparing analytical assessments for Ukrainian defence and security institutions, focusing on russia’s internal vulnerabilities, elite fragmentation, and systemic challenges within the russian armed forces, including manpower, morale, command structures, and logistics.

She regularly provides expert analysis and commentary for Ukrainian and international audiences on russia’s domestic situation, military capabilities, and long-term strategic constraints.
