On February 24, marking the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, the team of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, with the support of the Geneva branch of the Ukrainian Society in Switzerland, opened a photo exhibition featuring photographic evidence of crimes committed by Russians in Ukraine. The materials were collected in the de-occupied territories of the Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, as well as in frontline areas of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

At the opening of the exhibition, the Head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Serhii Kuzan, delivered a speech.

“Yesterday, at the UN General Assembly, 141 countries voted in favor of a resolution on Ukraine based on Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula. Russia, along with six other mostly African countries, voted against it and attempted over the past week to obstruct the work of the institution. Excluding Russia from the UN Security Council is undoubtedly a difficult but necessary political decision for the West. Today, our team is in Europe to ensure that the crimes committed by Russians in Ukraine are not forgotten — nor the fact that the murderer is still sitting at the table of the United Nations,” said Serhii Kuzan.

The exhibition is displayed beneath the “Broken Chair” — a symbol of the rejection of armed violence against civilians. The photographs are being presented for the first time in front of one of the UN headquarters in Geneva, as the first and foremost punishment for the aggressor must be the exclusion of Russia from the UN Security Council. As long as the right of veto remains in the hands of a terrorist state, we cannot speak of peace from a global perspective.
