There is a global threat of Russian hybrid interference in virtually all processes within the EU — Kuzan

The Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Germany, together with the Ukrainian Centre for Security and Cooperation, held a panel discussion titled “Defending Europe – Support Ukraine: 2024 priorities” as part of CAFE KYIV, one of the largest Ukraine-related events in Germany.

The key speaker at the event was the Head of USCC Serhii Kuzan: “Today we are warning our partners about the truly global threats of Russian hybrid interference in absolutely all processes that shape the life of every country and every citizen of the West. In this war, the one who finds more strength and internal resources to withstand — will win. I believe that this victory belongs to Ukraine, to Europe, and to the entire civilized world.”

In 2024, Russia will continue to increase its capabilities for political, economic, and informational influence on European countries:

• It will maximize efforts to push pro-Russian individuals and political parties into the European Parliament, as well as into national parliaments through local elections.
• It will expand its influence and pressure through Russian businesses, which legitimize significant financial resources across countries to carry out various influence campaigns.
• It will continue forming and building its network of influence and propaganda through the activities of Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Houses, and Russian cultural centers.

Symbolically, the discussion took place in a hall called “Donetsk”.
