NATO is ready to provide expert support for the draft law on the fundamentals of national resistance, which is currently being considered by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
NATO Strategic Adviser on Special Operations Forces (SOF) Michael Repass (U.S.) stated this during a discussion with Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Roman Mashovets.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the outstanding role that the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will play in building national resistance and the resistance movement.
The parties also discussed progress in achieving interoperability with units of the NATO member states. Roman Mashovets stressed the importance of expanding cooperation with members of the Alliance, primarily by taking into account the experience of building special operations forces in the face of modern threats and informed about the state of development of the Ukrainian army.
For his part, Michael Repass reaffirmed NATO’s unwavering support for Ukraine in building SOF to ensure our country’s sovereignty.
