Taran: the idea of national resistance is an integral component of Ukraine’s comprehensive defense measures

The draft law “On the Fundamentals of National Resistance” makes it possible to significantly strengthen the country’s defense capability. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Andrii Taran.

“The idea of national resistance is an integral component of Ukraine’s comprehensive defense measures. The active involvement of citizens in organizing military security and ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, as envisaged by the legislative initiatives of the Head of State, makes it possible to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience,” Taran believes.

According to the Minister of Defense, the draft law No. 5557 submitted by the President also creates the necessary prerequisites for the swift implementation of the Military Security Strategy. If adopted, Ukraine will have the conditions in place to organize deterrence and repulsion measures that will force the adversary to cease aggression against Ukraine.
