On 9 November, the team of the Ukrainian Security and Cooperation Center took part in a panel meeting “Ukrainian Language Day in Romania – an opportunity to reflect on challenges in the region” on the topic of Ukraine’s geopolitical challenges.
In the year and a half of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, the EU has imposed 11 packages of sanctions on companies and individuals to deter the Russian war machine. But so far, this pressure has not been enough to stop the war and the deaths of Ukrainian civilians.
The discussion raised the issue of the effectiveness of the Western countries’ adherence to the sanctions packages against Russia, their impact on the economy and military capabilities of Russia.
